Strawberries and basil remind me of summer. Combining them gives this green smoothie a unique flavor that is so enjoyable you won’t even realize you are drinking two servings of your daily leafy greens. The avocado gives this smoothie the creaminess of a milkshake while adding nearly 20 different vitamins and minerals, dietary fiber, and monounsaturated fat—the good fat we all need. The dates add the perfect touch of sweetness. Enjoy!

Ingredients

Scale

2 cups unsweetened almond milk

2 cups fresh or frozen strawberries

¼ avocado

2 dates

Handful fresh basil (about 10 leaves)

4 cups fresh spinach

Instructions

Place all ingredients in a blender.
Blend well until liquified.
Serves 2
